I’m an artisan level jewelry designer from the Richland/Kalamazoo area. My jewelry primarily features copper, mixed metals and semiprecious gemstones. Metalsmithing, hand hammering, assemblage, and reusing old copper are an integral part of my evolving creative process, including upcycling vintage copper jewelry findings into new creations. I place particular emphasis on nature motifs and timeless designs… earthy, eclectic and elegant. I’m a former broadcast journalist, radio news anchor, rock-n-roll radio DJ/host, and an itinerant storyteller. While I am learning to be a metalsmith, I continue to be a “wordsmith” and a published professional writer.
