The Kalamazoo Nonprofit Advocacy Coalition is developing as an effort to alleviate poverty, eliminate discrimination and celebrate the arts by repurposing buildings, revitalizing organizations and empowering individuals in collaboration with others committed to enhancing self-worth, self-determination, self-expression and self-respect. We live out our mission in the the oldest public building in Kalamazoo, the historic First Baptist Church built in 1853 right in the heart of the city. The church offers office spaces, event and meeting rooms, studios and workshop areas which before the KNAC were not being used to their full capacity. Today the following organizations support our community from this unique and versatile environment:

Al-Anon Group
All Ears Theater
Bethany Christian Services Refugee Foster Care and Adoption Agency
Blab Rats
Center for Transformation
Crawlspace Eviction
Kalamazoo Area Fetal Alcoholism Spectrum Disorder Awareness Group

God’s Kitchen
Hydroponic Garden Works
Kalamazoo Ballet

Loaves and Fishes of Kalamazoo
Michigan Festival of Sacred Music
Offices of Pastor John Gilfillan City Gate Church
