The Kalamazoo Civic Theatre, which was founded in 1929, has become a cultural cornerstone in Kalamazoo. Each year the Civic utilizes the talents of over 1,000 volunteers as it produces a diverse season; comprised of comedies, musicals and dramas as well as Youth Theatre and Senior Class ReadersTheatre productions. In 2012, the Civic created its Academy of Theatre Arts, through which educational opportunities are made available to students between the ages of three and a hundred and three.

The ACGK Office is open M-F, 9 am to 5 pm. Masks are required for in-person visits and social distancing measures are in effect. Virtual meetings are also available.
