Emerging Choreographer’s Project kicks off our 11th season by providing both YDI Ann Arbor and YDI Kalamazoo an opportunity to perform a new work created by an emerging choreographer.
Through the Emerging Choreographer’s Project, we hope to give rising choreographers the opportunity to create and inspire a new generation of movers. The winner is provided a weeklong residency with advanced dancers, studio space, royalty-free music to create a score, costumes, production, professional video of the piece, mentorship from Jodie Randolph Dance and YDI Artistic Staff, 2-3 performances of the work per season, tickets to both concerts, and opportunities to teach company class.
