Taiko Drumming Master Class

Learn taiko drumming with guest Sensei Ken Koshio, assisted by Carolyn Koebel.

Students of all ages can learn the Japanese art of Taiko drumming in this master class. There will be two sessions: a youth class for ages 7-12 from 10:00–11:15 AM, and a teen/adult class from 11:30 AM–1:00 PM. Class size is limited, pre-registration is required.

Born in Nagoya, Japan, Ken Koshio is a Phoenix-based drummer, singer and songwriter. Koshio has performed all over the world, and he was the first person outside of Japan to receive a certified teaching license of Hiroshima Jidaiko
