“Celebrated artists from across the country, including Nanette Carter, Adia Millett, and Mary Anne Rose (widow of late abstractionist Herbert Gentry), will join Kalamazoo-based artist and activist Maya James for a conversation about the ways in which abstraction can be used to break down barriers of race and gender.
