Hands-on cooking class by Maggle Bautista folded in with stories of this Venezuelan traditional dish.
Maggle Bautista will teach participants how to make Hallacas, a national dish of Venezuela. The dish is made of a corn dough stuffed with meat stew, raisins, capers, and olives, then folded in banana leaves, tied with strings, and boiled. Participants will have an opportunity to taste and take home hallacas they have prepared during the workshop. This event will be at the Vicksburg Main Street Pub, 208 E. Prairie in Vicksburg, MI.
