Dancing With The WMU/Kzoo STARS

In 2008, the Department of Dance in conjunction with Partners in Dance, created a fundraiser for student scholarships based upon the reality show Dancing with the Stars.  Each year the dance competition features several pairs of local stars and WMU Dance students competing in various forms of ballroom dance.  The dancing is judged by three community figures and the audience selects the “People’s Choice” winning pair. The evening’s festivities are catered and include a full cash bar.  The proceeds of this event support student scholarships for WMU Dance students and are essential in assisting these students complete their studies.
