Maya James is an internationally achieving multimedia black conceptual artist whose work has been featured at the “Best Juried Venue” in Artprize Grand Rapids 2018, the Dennos Museum, and Michigan Artist Gallery.
Maya's art focuses on the diversity and adversity of black women in the United States and how this fuels joy in small places.
