The Freeman Gallery in New York City was the creation of artist Terry Fulgate-Wilcox, a native of Kalamazoo, and his wife Valerie, in 1970. In reality, the gallery and the artists who showed there were fabricated by Fulgate-Wilcox himself. Find out more about this fascinating artist and his unusual story with author Chris Howard, author of the recently-published The Jean Freeman Gallery Does Not Exist.
