This 1994 documentary offers a unique appreciation of the Kalamazoo River from the perspective of local artists and writers. Featured are artist Ladislav Hanka and poets Ben Mitchell and Gundars Zentelis. What emerges is a fresh appreciation of the river not only as a valuable natural resource, but as teacher. Following the screening, the film’s producer and videographer, Wes Knollenberg will discuss the project and the state of the river 20 years later.
