Harold Landes’ (1889-1992) career as a commercial artist, as a painter, and the growth of the visual arts in Kalamazoo and the story KIA are intertwined. Presenter and artist Steve Curl gained special access to an archive of Landes material. This talk is part of an occasional series remembering some of Kalamazoo’s prominent artists.
