Additional time info:
“A Night at the Theater” audition slots must be scheduled in advance with Director Dr. Gerald Case-Blanchard by sending an email request with a preferred audition time to case-blanchardg@kellogg.edu or by calling 269-565-7859 by 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1.
Those auditioning are encouraged to prepare a classical or musical theatre song in any language that best demonstrates their vocal abilities, and should plan to sing a few scales under the guidance of the director as part of the audition process. It’s also recommended they bring their own accompanist; if a KCC accompanist is needed, they must email audition materials to Cynthia Garn at cynleegarn8@gmail.com at least 72 hours before their audition.
“A Night at the Theatre” will show at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, and 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, in the Binda Performing Arts Center on campus. Those selected for the cast must commit to participating in rehearsals from 6 to 9 p.m. on select Monday evenings beginning in September as well as to the provided tech week rehearsal schedule up through and including the final Opera/Musical Workshop scheduled performances.
Director Case-Blanchard said all voice parts are needed, and if an individual is not offered a principal role, there may be opportunities to participate in one of the ensembles.
