Born in Berlin, Jacky Terrasson grew up in Paris and began studying piano at the age of five, eventually moving to the U.S. to study at the Berklee College of Music. After winning the Thelonious Monk Award in 1993, Terrasson was named one of the “30 under 30” by New York Times Magazine as a musician most likely to change American culture in the next 30 years. He certainly has achieved that.
