One of the most in-demand pianists on the international scene today, Russian-born Daniil Trifonov opens the 2014 Festival. Since winning the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow and the Arthur Rubinstein International Competition in Tel Aviv, the 23-year-old has experienced a meteoric rise in his career with a sold-out Carnegie Hall solo recital and concerto performances with virtually all of the world’s major orchestras.
