The Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo is excited to renew its collaboration with the cities of Parchment, Portage, Oshtemo Township, Richland Township, and Kalamazoo to promote summer concerts in Kalamazoo County for 2019. Summertime Live will continue to promote the Arts Council’s Concerts in the Park as well Parchment’s Kindleberger Summer Festival of the Performing Arts – The Stage at Kindleberger, Oshtemo Township’s Music in the Park, the City of Portage’s Thursday Summer Entertainment Series, Richland Township’s After Hop Concert and new this year’s line up is Downtown Kalamazoo’s Beats on Bates Wednesday evening series. “We are fortunate in Kalamazoo County to have great summer music festivals that support local artists and bring different genres and introduce new artists into our community,” says Executive Director of the Arts Council, Kristen Chesak. All shows are family friendly and FREE to attend! Summertime Live is sponsored by the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo and the Irving S. Gilmore Foundation.



Bring your lawn chairs and some cool drinks. This is fun for the whole family! Concerts in the Park is a B.Y.O.B. event. Drinks can be carried in containers (no more than 72-ounces per person). Persons of age will have to bring their I.D. and check in at the station in the middle of Bronson Park to receive a wristband. Alcohol is allowed in the park from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Kids can enjoy a free craft, fire fighter obstacle course, and more! Food available for purchase or
bring a picnic

Concessions will be available for purchase.
Parking for all concerts will be available at City Hall,
Portage District Library, Portage Senior Center and Portage Central High School.
