MRC artWorks, a program of the non-profit MRC Industries, Inc., is a working gallery and studio for adults living with disabilities located in downtown Kalamazoo. As a job skills program, artists learn skills such as patience, persistence, and problem solving, as well as working on goals to aid in job placement. In anticipation of launching an artistic mentorship program, we are seeking professional artists to volunteer their time and skill to model and teach sessions of their craft to the artists in our program. We hope to open the opportunity to upwards of 1 artist a month. This artist would be welcomed and encouraged to show our artists their style and application of materials between one to four, two-hour sessions, targeted in one month, helping to inspire our artists and apply techniques through hands-on learning. If interested, please contact Amy Thill @ email@example.com All materials would be provided based on approved sessions.
