A life-long artist, I have deeply explored and worked professionally in several media, including graphic design and macro photography, before undertaking the endless possibilities of kiln-formed (fused, cast, shaped) glass. 

Design fundamentals, color principles, and a deep appreciation for texture, depth perception, and execution mysteries guide my exploration of glass as a fine art and functional medium.

In late 2010, I began establishing a home studio and continue to expand my knowledge, skills, and range of pieces. In 2016, I will begin teaching the exploration of kiln-formed glass art techniques at my studio on a limited basis.

Intensives with nationally renowned artists: Gloria Badiner, Michael Dupille, Patty Gray, Kari Minnick, and Janet Schrader—some several times–and many webinars and resources by additional experts–have contributed to a knowledge base from which to explore and create. The generous community these experts–along with other students in classes and glass artists near and far–create is inspirational and supportive.

My main focus is functional fine art: pieces that provide a sense of wonder to all who view them and include them in their lives and gift giving.
