The Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo supports and promotes our arts community in many ways. We are always looking for new ways to help professional and amateur artists and arts organizations produce music, theatre, dance, visual, media and literary art. But to accomplish all of our goals, we need the community’s help.

Become a member – If you’re an artist or arts organization, consider membership in the Arts Council. Members receive our quarterly newsletter, monthly Art Hop schedule, advance notice of all grant workshops and special events sponsored by the Arts Council, and an invitation to the annual Community Arts Awards Gala. Members also have access to Web services, including creation of an Artist’s Profile page and the ability to post events in our Arts Calendar.

Become a donor – We also enlist and welcome help from arts lovers who want to nurture the arts through their financial gifts. Donors to the Arts Council will be featured in our Salute to Our Donors section of the Web site and will receive the quarterly electronic newsletter, Art Hop schedule, advance notice of all grant workshops and Arts Council-sponsored special events, an invitation to the Community Arts Award Gala, and eligibility for a tax deduction.
