Printmaking primarily in the relief methods of woodblock and linocut.
My childhood in southwest Michigan was full of scales, feathers and fur. Raised on forty acres by back-to-the-land parents, I spent hours exploring the woods and fields around my home. Nature is still my inspiration, connecting me to the rhythms that have measured out life for generations. I wish to express the extraordinary in the ordinary and capture the suspended moment when life is sensed directly.
I am a printmaker working primarily in the relief methods of woodblock and linocut. This involves:
Printing layer upon layer of transparent and opaque inks using one or several printing plates results in a multiple color image.
From start to finish a print can be a process, a puzzle and a passion!
Exhibit is included in general KNC admission.
