7th Annual Arts & Eats 2017

Dozens of Southwest Michigan Artist Studios, Galleries, Farms & Restaurants to Participate in 7th Annual Arts & Eats 2017 – a Self-Guided Agri-Cultural Driving Tour.

Art enthusiasts can visit 30 different galleries, studios and central venues to view the works of local
painters, potters, weavers, photographers, sculptors and other artisans. Artists welcome guests to their
studios. Those who do not have a public studio are displaying works at three different central venues
throughout the tour area.
Participants can also experience local foods both at the farms where the food is grown and area
restaurants. Eight area farms that grow the food that we eat, that grow the fiber we wear, or that
feature heritage animals are participating this year. This tour is a unique opportunity for people to visit
farms that may not normally be open to the public.
Savor amazing seasonal fare at some 14 participating restaurants, where chefs use their creative
culinary talents to pull together fabulous menu items – featuring local products – for tour-goers.
Back by popular demand this year is the Arts and Eats “Best Eats” contest. Participating eateries are
featuring appetizers, main entrees, and desserts made with locally-sourced produce and ingredients
which patrons may taste and vote for their favorite. The tally of votes will be counted after the Arts
and Eats weekend and the winning restaurant in each category will be showcased on the website and
will win a special plate created by artist Cathy Green.

A listing of participants, as well as a PDF of the official tour map are online at www.ArtsAndEats.org.

A tour guide and map are available at all the sites the days of the tour, as well as at participating venues
throughout the months of September and October.

This event has been sponsored by The Allegan County Community Foundation.
