Great Wall of Bees, Lad Hanka Exhibition in the Glen Vista Artist Gallery

"Great Wall of Bees" focuses on the world of bees.  Mr. Hanka is a bee keeper and local independent studio artist.  His exhibit in the Glen Vista Gallery includes his etchings that he inserts into bee hives for the bees to add the next layer.  At times, the bees join forces with Lad to co-create interesting and unique works of art. 

As an artist, Mr. Lanka thinks and works graphically-inline and predominately in black and white. His work begins with field studies; going out into the cold and heat, dealing with biting insects, learning to draw the twists and turns characteristic of a cedar or the unique way in which only a burr oak branches.
