Introduction to improv philosophies & technique In Level 1 you'll learn the basic skills required to create improvised theatre. The class starts with the foundational tenets of working with people to make scenes happen. The class emphasises the need for support and collaboration. Everyone is welcome and empowered. This is a great way to get introduced to the techniques improvisors use. Techniques that are valuable far beyond the improv stage. This is a great tool for personal growth. It's also a fun thing to do with friends.    Some Details: - Classes meet once a week for six weeks. - No improv experience is necessary to enter the program. - max participants: 15 - age: 18+ - instructor: Tara Sytsma - $150 per level - all participants must start with Level 1 - classes will be held in our new and fantastic space: Park Trades Center, Studio 411B, 326 W Kalamazoo Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49007   Great reasons to take improv classes: - Improve communication skills - Improv is awesome and big fun - Meet cool people doing a cool thing - Build theatrical skills   Be a part of this new phase in the life of Crawlspace.   The incomparable Tara Sytsma is directing the training program, and will be teaching Level 1.
