Kalamazoo's iconic Mall City Harmonizers is an a-cappella men's chorus, founded 72 years ago, in early 1941 (even before Pearl Harbor!).  And from within our chorus, we also have individual quartets; our full chorus as well as our quartets perform thoughout the year, throughout the Greater Kalamazoo area, at various personal, corporate, patriotic, school, church and other events.  Our mission is to perpetuate the American Art Form of Barbershop singing and encourage vocal harmony and good fellowship among our members.  We seek to encourage and promote the education of our members in music appreciation of Barbershop quartet and chorus singing.  And this year, 2013, marks the 75th Anniversary of the (now) international Barbershop Harmony Society, founded in 1938; Kalamazoo was chartered as the Society's13th Chapter 3 years after its formation.
