West Michigan Area Show Artist Highlight

During select ARTbreaks throughout the summer, artists featured in the 2023 West Michigan Area Show deliver talks on their featured pieces as well as their larger bodies of work, their artistic processes, and their points of inspiration.

This ARTbreak features artists Keith Downie and Elizabeth Kellogg, both of whom received prestigious awards during the West Michigan Area Show’s opening ceremony in May. Downie is the 2023 winner of the Helen Sheridan Memorial Grand Prize, while Kellogg was awarded the Kalamazoo Log Cabin Quilters’ Art Quilt Award.
