SORRY TO BOTHER YOU

SORRY TO BOTHER YOU is the story of Cassius Green, a telemarketer in an alternate present-day version of Oakland, California, who discovers a magical key to professional success, propelling him into a macabre universe.  Once there, he must choose between making money at the expense of humanity or joining with his activist friends to organize labor.  In his debut feature, writer/director Boots Riley has created an original dystopian tale that is scathingly funny, ambitious and thoroughly original.  Like all good speculative fiction, the story in SORRY TO BOTHER YOU is set in a recognizable world that takes certain elements to powerfully satirical and surreal conclusions.
