What, you may ask, is a lautenwerk?! It’s a gut-stringed early version of the harpsichord (Bach owned three of them), and while none of the original instruments have survived the 18th century, keyboard artist Kim Heindel performs and records on a 21st-century reconstruction of this important historical keyboard instrument.
Come hear the works of Bach and his contemporary Sylvius Weiss, performed by Heindel in the intimacy of the Wellspring Theater.
