Ms. Arwady has won several competitions and awards, including the Metropolitan Opera National Councils, the George Londons, the Licia Albanese/Puccini Competition, the Marian Anderson Award, a Sara Tucker as well as a Richard Tucker Career Grant from the Tucker Foundation, a Grammy, and several scholarships.
She has performed with opera companies and symphonies including the Metropolitan Opera, the San Francisco Opera, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Houston Grand Opera, the Santa Fe Opera, the Opera Company of Philadelphia, the English National Opera, Oper Frankfurt, the New York Philharmonic, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Washington National Opera, the Pittsburgh Symphony, and the Toronto Symphony.
Highlights of the upcoming season include Death in “Le Rossignol” with the Canadian Opera Company, Kathy Hagen in “Champion” with New Orleans Opera, Mrs. Lovett in “Sweeney Todd” with the Atlanta Opera, and Pasqualita in “Doctor Atomic” with the Santa Fe Opera. In Michigan, Ms. Arwady will be performing with the Holland Symphony, and in a recital at Western Michigan University.
