WOOD TV 8: Art Hop

The Crescendo Fiddlers was formed to give students the opportunity to explore their interest in folk fiddle music. Since then, the group has grown to include not just violinists but violas, guitar and bass.

Membership has always spanned multiple generations: currently, the youngest member is seven years old, and the oldest is over sixty! Their music also spans multiple cultures, from American to Celtic to Swedish to Chinese fiddling styles. Now led by Joanna Steinhauser, the Fiddlers have become a sought-after group on the Kalamazoo folk music scene.
