Tea Party for Literary Humor: A Fresh Splash of Quirky by Elaine Seaman
Presented by City of Portage - Summer Entertainment Series (SES)
July 18, 2012
what do Shakespeare, Jane Austen, Mark Twain, Tom Robbins and David Sedaris have in common? Humor. At this tea, we'll explore a few books-- perhaps Pride and Prejudic (Jane Austen), Skinny Legs and All (Tom Robbins) and A Confederacy of Dunces (John Kennedy Toole). To paraphrase Ambrose Bierce: "Nothing is more ifectious or incurable than laughter."
