    Concerts in the Park Season Announced Kalamazoo, MI?Concerts in the Park is one of Kalamazoo?s long standing traditions and is offered each Sunday at 4pm* through June, July and August, area musicians from Kalamazoo and the surrounding area perform in an outdoor setting in Bronson Park.     Concerts in the Park Season Announced Kalamazoo, MI?Concerts in the Park is one of Kalamazoo?s long standing traditions and is offered each Sunday at 4pm* through June, July and August, area musicians from Kalamazoo and the surrounding area perform in an outdoor setting in Bronson Park. Providing the nostalgia of an outdoor music event, the diversity of performers and selections delivers a unique offering unlike other concert series in Kalamazoo. Each concert is free, and is friendly for the entire family. Bringing picnic meals, blankets or lawn chairs is encouraged. Each concert begins at 4pm (with the exception of the KSO, which begins at 8pm) and the concerts? rain location is First Baptist Church, located at 315 W. Michigan Avenue, just a block from Bronson Park (unless otherwise noted). This June 21, Concerts in the Park will run concurrently with Fete de la Music (an international music celebration that will happen throughout Kalamazoo). Concerts in the Park is a program of the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo, and is supported by the City of Kalamazoo and the Kalamazoo County Convention and Visitors Bureau. The 2009 Season Lineup: June 7 Kalamazoo Singers, one of the area?s premier choral organizations June 14 The Mickeys, Identical twins blend Americana, country and folk music June 21 (Also Fete de la Musique) Tri-Fi, Phenomenal musical chemistry in a classic jazz piano trio June 28 Kalamazoo Concert Band, One of Michigan?s oldest adult metropolitan bands July 5 Local Motive, New country sound with soulful harmonies July 12 (*BEGINS at 8PM/RAIN LOCATION MILLER AUDITORIUM) Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra*, Kalamazoo?s own symphony, conducted by Barry Ross July 19 Blue Lake International Jazz Band, Striking, word-traveled jazz July 26 Mark Duval & Two-Track Mind, Shuffling rhythms and strong melodies of folk and roots rock August 2 Brothers Kalamazov, A unique blend of celtic, bluegrass and jazz August 9
